Weekend round up

I haven't seen results from everywhere but what I know so far is......

BUSHY PARKRUN

Jack won in 16:31, Eoin was 2nd in 16:50, Tom and Jamie were 5th and 6th with time around 17:30.  All four ran big (circa 30 second) pbs in already warm weather.

SOUTHERN MEN'S LEAGUE

A fairly ordinary meeting, but some good runs.  Bradley lead for 720m but finished 3rd in the 800.  Most importantly he ran under 2minutes for the first time with 1:59.6 - an improvement from 2:01.1 and important ahead of the schools.  Tim won the B-string 800 in 1:59.0 and then repeated his big kicking in the 1500 to win from a fairly slow early pace in 4:14.  Adam got a pb in the 1500 with 4:22 - nice work.  Harry ran a decent 400 race and then ran over a second quicker on first leg of the relay.... very promising.

SOUTHERN WOMEN'S LEAGUE

Liz lapped the field (twice?) in the 3000 for 10:36 and then came back for a swifter 4:44 in the 1500. Florence was 2nd in the 3000 with 12:38.  Molly lead her 800 through half way in 68 and was only passed in the final straight.  This was a good run though and it is important to try different tactics.  She followed that run up with a 63 in the 400.

NATIONAL JUNIOR LEAGUE

Maddie ran for her new 2nd claim club WSEH and earned them big points in the steeple chase.  Second place and a pb under 5:30 -28/29? - were a reflection of much improved hurdling.  It was stinking hot and most middle distance performances were a little sub-par so there should be more improvement to come.
