I'm always amazed how little sleep some athletes in the group must get.... up to all hours on msn or facebook, numbing your brains!

This article from the English Institute of Sport tells it straight.  If you're training hard, you need to sleep.  Your body adapts to the training during rest ; there isn't much point training if you aren't letting your body adapt to it.  In other words, training is no good at all without enough rest!
