Liz Kipling in fine form
Liz had another great run at the weekend, finishing 4th in the Surrey League. This followed on from her 28th place at the Southern Championships at Parliament Hill – a course she had never finished in the top 100 on.
Since joining the squad last year Liz has set track pbs at 800 and 1500 and had her most consistent XC season to date.

Ollie wins his 8th Countdown
U15 Oliver Garner has been impressing everyone this week on Countdown. A string of 8 and 9 letter words have often bettered the efforts of dictionary corner and have seen him notch up the maximum allowed run of 8 wins. The final contest saw Ollie trailing throughout but he clinched victory on the conundrum (sp?!) which he correctlly unjumbled in 2seconds!

Sussex Squad Day – Kenyan Training notes
Noel was talking briefly to coaches about Kenyan training camps at a Sussex Squad day on Sunday. A car load of the older athletes made the trip down and had a good session followed by an informative talk on nutrition.
