Get some sleep

Get some sleep - EIS

Get some sleep – EIS

I’m always amazed how little sleep some athletes in the group must get…. up to all hours on msn or facebook, numbing your brains!

This article from the English Institute of Sport tells it straight.  If you’re training hard, you need to sleep.  Your body adapts to… Continue reading

SMRAC Open

ke-lgflagKenyan based Ian Groome made a flying visit to Teddington last week and spoke very positively about how he enjoyed reading the website to see how well everyone is running.  I’m sure he’d like me to pass that on.

Being based in Kenya hasn’t stopped Ian being the only person to leave a comment on the website.  Feel free to… Continue reading

Southern Women’s League roundup

SMRAC finished 4th in their final match of the season. Liz did a good job picking up points in her own mini-heptathlon. Molly produced a good 5:11 run in the 1500. After very few races this summer the new-improved-dedicated to training Molly can hope to run well under 5 next summer.

Running for Windsor, Christina ran 5:16 to narrowly miss a pb. Going through 1200 in a very strong… Continue reading

Winter Tour 09/10

The dates of all this winters race are available and ready to view by visiting the Winter Tour 09/10 page.

Once again the main club aims are the county and southern cross country championships on 10th January and 30th January respectively.  We would ask that all club members make themselves available for these fixtures.  It is hoped that plenty of athletes will be selected on to county… Continue reading
