Rebecca Killip won the Mini Marathon, building on a month of fantastic training. There were several other top 20 performances and it was encouraging to see those who had been stuck in Portugal put in pretty solid runs after two weeks of twice a day training – now for some speed! Molly wins Lord Mayor’s Mile! (and other results)

Molly won the middle age group.  Unofficial reports (Molly on the mobile) suggest the following:

Ross and Bradley 3rd and 4th in the oldest group (the winner was old enough to be a first year Uni student and mentioned Ross in the TV interview, quote “some people fell over”)

Jack 2nd in the middle group

Jivendra 3rd

Maddie 5th

Marathon in a few years? Be prepared to run fast

The times being run in marathons recently are staggering… Marathon isn’t a place for slow runners who haven’t anywhere else to turn, it is for fast runners who are capable of running fast for a long way.

Whatever your event, you need to be fast!!
